How about a little news with your coffee?
This August — ACTION COMICS #880, to be exact — will see Julian Lopez (ORACLE: THE CURE, BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS) step in as the regular series artist, just in time for a crossover with the other Super-books. I could summarize the plot of said crossover, or hint at stuff, like Superman maybe returning to Earth, or New Krypton/Earth relations hitting an all-new low, but that’ll just make you impatient for August, right? Not to fear. We have some sketches from Mr. Lopez to tide you over until then.

Sorry to see Eddy Barrows leave, I hope he gets a good high profile assignment.
Lopez though is a very good artist so i’m looking forward to August.
How long do artists stay on DC books these days? Barrows stayed for what? 4 issues?
Great news! I like his art and I think it is excellent for Action comics.
I think Eddy hit the big league with JLA. On the other hand all these shifting and changing artteams looks very restless. There’s no stability anymore.
Really liked Barrows stuff on Action. I agree with oddballuk, hope he’s getting promoted to something big.
I like what I see of Lopex so far, so I will definitely stay on.
As much as I like Barrows, I think this is a huge upgrade. Lopez has mostly been doing fill-ins, but he’s definitely ready for something this big.
Julian Lopez is a great artist, he will do a great job on Superman.
I like Eddy Barrows too, I hope he will be drawning a great project.
I’m glad to see that Thara and Chris survive Ursa!
(Comics are wayyy delayed here in South Africa!) And Atlas back? Probably working for Lane… Can’t wait!
