What, two news items in one day? Hey, things happen fast here, and we’re happy to keep you posted.
We’ve shown you some sample pages from the first issue of WEDNESDAY COMICS, and that seemed to get folks excited, so why not update you on a very exciting creative addition?
Joining the roster of A-list creators collected by DC Art Director Mark Chiarello to create the weekly WEDNESDAY COMICS is none other than José Luis García-López, who’ll be joining our very own Dan DiDio on the METAL MEN feature. Now, García-López needs no introduction. The man’s been drawing amazing comics for decades. Plus, you don’t want to hear me yammer. Let’s look at the art. Check out a page from METAL MEN, below.
Did I mention he’ll be inked by Kevin Nowlan? Double good, yes?

that looks great! i really hope this wednesday comics takes off…it’s an amazing concept.
I’m SO happy with this!
I was already barely able to wait for this one to hit the shops, but now I’d buy the comic for this strip alone!
SOmeone at DC MUST put these two on a graphic novel lenght project ASAP, they’re too good!

This is fantastic! Garcia Lopez is the best! Together with the incredible Kevin Nowlan on inks, I couldn’t be happier!
Everyone should checck out their recent arc on Batman Confidential. I hope Dave Stewart will do the colouring…or Matt Hollingsworth!

I always Loved Garcia-Lopez art, specially on Superman and his return to that project will be awesome, I´m in.
Can we get Garcia-Lopez on something monthly? His artwork is worth the price alone.
Whoa, this is amazing work. Garcia-Lopez is one of the classiest pencillers out there, and Nowlan inking him makes for a perfect team.
I loved their recent work on Batman: Confidential, and I can’t wait to see this when it hits the shelves.
Hmm… let me know if you need a colorist for this, okay?
