Did you really think we’d stop at only two?

damn, Martian Manhunter still has the hole in his chest from Libra, so I guess the Black Rings don’t regenerate the ringbearers back to 100%

  2. CATRsChris says on :

I only hope J’onn J’ohnns is back into his living self after this storyline. His death was the most pointless one ever. Well, I think he got killed for this storyline anyways. Still.

  3. Jill aka The Nerdy Bird says on :

    Aww, poor J’onn.

  4. Websnap says on :

I wouldn’t say it was pointless, eliminating him was a major hit to the JLA’s mode of communications since J’onn telepathically linked the members. That being said I hope there is a way to bring him back.

  5. Kal-El says on :

We know that Martian Manhunter is a Black Lantern, we want more and new Black Lanterns!!!!

  6. Fearing says on :

Martian Manhunter? I’m pretty sure that’s Jemm Son of Saturn there.

I kid, but seriously, looks nice, can’t wait for the book.

  7. kenyan346 says on :

I cant wait for this series to kick off. GL has been one of DC’s most brightest and most consistent reads for awhile. Any thoughts on how Barry ” Black Flash” Allen will play into this….

  8. Doc Builder says on :

    Awesome art.

What’s the story behind these Black Lantern skull caps

  9. jadedknyte says on :

Who were all the heroes in Requiem…. (spoiler I guess if you haven’t figured it out already) ….who J’onn transferred his consciousness to, right before he died? it’s been a while since a read it.
I know Hal Jordan and Cynthia Reynolds (Gypsy) were two of them. Who were the others? Was Canary one?

  10. AC CAMPOS says on :

“What’s the story behind these Black Lantern skull caps”

Isn’t that a Black Hand fashion statement?

  11. Doc Builder says on :

    OHHHHH.

    Now I get it.

    Cool idea DC.

Now, wonder why doesn’t Aquaman where the Black Hand uniform.

  12. Kinravip says on :

Unfortunately, those of us who order our comics through PREVIEWS have known for a while that J’onn J’onzz and Earth-2 Supes were gonna be Black Lanterns, as their action figures were solicited so far in advance.

I’m sure “Blackest Night” will still offer plenty of surprises as to who’s being resurrected, and I’m wondering if Bruce Wayne will be among them. (The Geoff Johns taketh away, and the Geoff Johns giveth?) Bruce as the BL’s team strategist could spell trouble for the rest of the spectrum.

In any case, as someone who started buying DC comics when they had a 12-cent cover price, I am thrilled at what Johns and Co. has done to reinvigorate the DCU while not alienating we long-time fans who DO have all that continuity figured out in our heads. I’m looking forward to this ride, especially as I have a nephew who’s just getting into comics, and sharing my favorite books with him has become a great joy in my life.

Best wishes, DC, for a successful summer, but wouldja do me a favor? The variant-cover glut is becoming a problem again. Did we learn nothing from the chromium-cover years?

Especially in these financially-hinky times, I ask that you give our wallets a break for a while. It’s bad enough that each book is already running $2.99 or $3.99, but preying on our completism is just downright mean. Ease up a bit, okay?

    Peace, all…

  13. oddballuk says on :

    Another great teaser!

    How about Ronnie Raymond next?

  14. AC CAMPOS says on :

“and I’m wondering if Bruce Wayne will be among them. (The Geoff Johns taketh away, and the Geoff Johns giveth?) Bruce as the BL’s team strategist could spell trouble for the rest of the spectrum.”

Read the epilogue to Final Crisis, bro.

  15. AC CAMPOS says on :

now would a Black Lantern Darkseid be overkill?

  16. deoagent says on :

He looks like J’onn but not enough to be certain.

  17. deoagent says on :

Yeah, like the first Mirror Master

  18. killboi says on :

Read the epilogue to Final Crisis, bro.

It says nothing, bro. Black hand needs a body without life only but not the soul…Bruce wayne body rests in gotham graveyard….

  19. martianmanhunter says on :

    Great! Martian Manhunter’s teaser!

A error on the cover of Green Lantern #44? I see that the layer has 6 ends, against which we see habitually. 5 ends as fingers of a human hand.

    Explain it, please!!!

  20. martianmanhunter says on :

    Martian investigations…

It takes it to the ring in the left hand. They did not take it in the right? I need that they are clarified!

Under the chest it saw something that was not very clearly. Now I have fallen. It is the hole that Libra does to him when kill the Martian Manhunter in FC#1. Great detail! I love it!

I need a action figure of Libra, or in defect, Libra killing the Martian Manhunter.

It’s a moral obligation for DC Comics!!!

    :-P

  21. AC CAMPOS says on :

“It says nothing, bro. Black hand needs a body without life only but not the soul…Bruce wayne body rests in gotham graveyard….”

Then [spoilers] who the hell is that in Batman tights drawing on a cave wall in the prehistoric days? That’s the end of FC.

Is there really a Bruce Wayne corpse? I haven’t been reading the Bat books. It would be consistent with the way Darkseid’s Omega Sanction works, but Supes fired a rocket with Bruce’s corpse into the convulsing Bleed only to have that rocket land in the distant past.

  22. Fearing says on :

I don’t think Bruce’s corpse was in that rocket. His costume maybe, but not his corpse. *Spoiler* if you read the Blackest Night #0 comic from free comic book day, they are visiting Bruce’s grave, so I’d assume there’s a body in there.
Can’t say that I think I’m 100% right on that, just my speculations.

  23. AC CAMPOS says on :

yeah. I just read that Free Comic Book Day BLACKEST NIGHT #0. I am a few shades of confused, but who isn’t after reading Grant Morrison? Black Lantern Batman would definitely salt everybody’s game.
