    Hawkman could be funny, since he was gliding around in #0.
    How many reincarnations has he been through, and would Black Hand notice?

    “You want me to fly higher?”
    “RISE and serve me! I command you!”
    “No.” *THWACK*

    You could get the same effect with Black Hand trying to recruit Mitch Shelley, Resurrection Man, but Hawkman makes a better straight man in stand-up comedy.
