Cool! Thanks for the preview!
Sign me up too!
I have to wait till July? Oh DC, the waiting hurts.
Is that a Batman glove knocking out Batman? And who is the figure in dark wearing the glove in the second image? Tommy Elliot maybe? Jason Todd?

Batman #688 wasn’t on my July Pre-Order list, but this preview has assured its placement there. This blog is terrific in that it showcases interior art on projects that are within the pre-order cut-off range. Other comic companies don’t release such detailed info until a couple weeks before the comic hits retailers after it is too late to amend a pre-order. So, thanks DC for getting out of the gate with such detailed info on your July and August products.
I wasn’t too fond of Mr. Bagley’s work on Trinity but his pencils here look great.
nooooooooo! why did they go with the frank quietly design????? man i liked andy kuberts design for the new costume….sigh that belt looks dumb. and who is beating the shizzzznizzle outta my new batman? oh well just gotta wait and hopefully they dont use that design….i really dont like it….
This art looks great. But I sure hope we move out of “Self-Doubt in the Shadow of the Bat: One Man’s Justification for Killing off Everyone But Damian” in a real hurry.
Who be inkin’? Art Thibert would work just fine.
I agree that the pencils look great. Grittier, edgier than when inked.
Mark Bagley’s art looks great. Glad to see he is getting high profile work.
omg .. im so excited!!!
not the biggest fan of the belt tho ..
=(
Looks much better than what I was expecting.

Way to go DC…lets put Judd “who can I out now” Winick on one of your flagship books. I wonder who he sucked up to get on this book? Or perhaps its the fact that the Batman franchise is so mangled that they figure why not give Winick a shot he cant do much worse…..ugh….I will still get this title, it doesnt mean I have to enjoy it.
I’m sorry jloughry, why buy a book you wont’t enjoy? That seems to just fly in the face of logic. I’ve enjoyed most of Winnick’s writing, and there’s some things that I haven’t like of his, but if there’s a writer I flat out don’t like or a title I don’t enjoy reading, I vote with my wallet.
