Just who are the Insiders? And who are they searching for? Well, the fourth part of writer Peter Tomasi and artist Lee Garbett’s “The Deep” arc answers both questions, thanks to the help of a long lost being known only as “The Outkast.” But don’t expect any “Hey Ya!” renditions, folks. All signs point to bad stuff going down at the very center of the earth. Check out a few pages from the issue.
THE OUTSIDERS #18 hits 5/20.

I love this series!
I can’t wait to pick this issue up!
I’m enjoying this series so far. Nice to see them reference Vandal Savage as Cain from Final Crisis.
I am glad that since Batman is dead the series is now The Outsiders, however, I feel they should have started over witht the numbering.
I loved Outsiders when it was launched by Judd Winnick, then it started to stumble a little bit. It picked up some steam during the OYL jump but then it ultimately lost me when it became Batman and the Outsiders. Now though I’m loving this series and this and GL:C have sold me on anything Tomasi writes.
DC, give Pete Tomasi more books.
I really enjoy the actual cast of characters, except I think they’re not very well directed…
the art and the story are a little too shy for me, I just can’t really care…
big fan of this series
great series, epic in ever sense of the word!
Since Tomasi started writing this series, it has really felt like a classic DC team book, with just the right amount of modern edge and style added to it. I almost feel like it’s the reverse of the feel I get from his GLC book, which is a very modern style book with just the right amount of classic sauce thrown in. Anyway, I like both of these series, even though they have very distinct styles apart from each other.
It is a pretty good time to a DC reader these days, even if all the books that have me jazzed all seem to be selling poorly. Dagnabbit.
That is luscious art, both lines and colors. And I do love some Vandal Savage.
I just read this issue. Loved it.
