Kick off the week with a first look at METAL MEN

We’ve shown off pretty much all of the upcoming co-features on this here blog, so why stop now? The team that brought you JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL, writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis and artist Kevin Maguire, will reunite for METAL MEN, which will be coming out in tandem with Giffen and artist Matt Clark’s DOOM PATROL this August. Now, we know this team can deliver the goods, but that’s no excuse to not show pages. Am I right? So, here, for your viewing pleasure is a sneak peek at Giffen’s plot and Maguire’s resulting finished pages.

    As for “easy on the bwa ha ha”, I say “no thanks.” bwa ha ha away, at your own discretion, good sirs. I’ve had a few chances to see that I can trust your judgement in that arena. (Yes, I know, that’s dangerous territory, but oh, well.)

    I really hope this Doom Patrol / Metal Men series gets the numbers it needs to keep going. It’s honestly a series that I would have suggested if someone asked me: “Max, what would restore your faith in DC comics?”

    I added this to my pull list as of last week. Blast it, DC! That’s ANOTHER title I’ve recently added! Well, I guess my daughter doesn’t HAVE to go to college… (I kid, I kid!)
