BLUE BEETLE co-feature pages? We got ‘em

Well, surprise news. There’s one co-feature we haven’t shown pages from, and that’s BLUE BEETLE, which will be setting up shop with BOOSTER GOLD starting with #21 of that series, from writer Matt Sturges and artist Mike Norton. In the first installment, Jaime Reyes has a friendly lunch interrupted by a marauding 50-foot robot. Sound like a fun break? Didn’t think so. Check out some colored pages below.

I love it when something adds value to a book I already get. The co-features are a great idea. Thanks DC.

… but why with booster gold? that makes the blue beetle look like he doesn’t matter (when he does)

I love the Jaime! And he has the best supporting cast. He’s the best Blue Beetle ever!

I think the co-features plan is brilliant. Best idea in ages. Good work, DC.

Not the Blue Beetle I want, but it still looks good.

Jaime, Brenda & Paco FTW!!! I can’t wait to read them again.

This co-feature should be with JSA or Teen Titans. Why put it in dying title? Jaime deserves best.

Who said Booster is dying? It’s doing fine. And if anything, Jaime joining will give it a sales bump.

This looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’ve liked Mike Norton’s art since he started drawing issues of the All-New Atom, and he still has a kind of early-John-Byrne look to his work, I think. It’s not exactly like Byrne, of course, but it gives me a similar impression, etc. Another great co-feature in the works.

BB and BG, two great tastes that are even better together. I’ll definitely continue picking up Booster Gold with Jaime tacked on there. He may not be Ted, but Beetle and Booster should be in the same book–it just seems right. I hope there’s crossovers!

Who doesn’t love the Beetle? I mean come on!

The Blue Beetle we’re talking about is Ted Kord, right? If not, this back-up doesn’t make any sense
