And more art, of course.
This morning, we unveiled an interesting piece of art, featuring your pal and mine, Magog. Some of you may have seen the image in the back of your weekly haul of DC books. And, because we believe in instant gratification, here’s the scoop:
Starting in September, writer Keith Giffen will pair with artists Howard Porter and John Dell (reuniting the JLA art team) for MAGOG #1. We’ll have more plot details in the coming weeks, but since you’ve all been so patient, here’s another piece of Porter art to get you a bit closer to the weekend.

I didn’t see that one coming. But more Giffen is always a good thing. Now, he just has to get Legion back from limbo and start drawing it too.
Hmmm, I’m not sure about this it could be interesting. I’ll have to see more before I add it to my stack.
Hope Giffen does the layouts, too.
Is this Magog the New Earth version of the Earth-22 (Kingdom Come) Magog? Or is he supposed to end up on Earth-22 eventually?
[...] But the great-grandson of President Franklin D. Roosevelt is still in the game, still in the Justice Society and apparently getting his own series, according to DC Comics on their Source blog today. [...]
Probably most random choice of ongoing since… well, since Vigilante. And it’s happening in the times when there’s no Shazam series, may I remind you.
Magog is probably my least favorite character in the DCU. I don’t dislike him, but he just seems out of place to me. I wonder if I’ll like this series.
This is the character I would not focus spontaneously…
For sure the creative team would be perfect for a Shazam serie…
I’m a huge fan of Scott Kollins too, and I would love to see him teaming again with Keith Giffen: the Annihilation Prologue issues was better than the two Annihilation cross-overs…
so..speaking about a new Legion book….
Magog as a series? I think there’s a lot of other characters probably more deserving of a book…
[...] You heard the news, saw some art and know the basics about MAGOG, but it never hurts to show a bit more, does it? [...]
