Curious about the origin of Nightwing and Flamebird? Well, you came to the right place. We’ve got a nice chunk of pages from ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #12, from writer Greg Rucka and artist Pere Pérez, featuring a lovely cover by Renato Guedes. N and F are busy rooting out Zod’s sleeper agents in the present, but how did they find out about them in the first place? What’s their beef with Zod? How’d they get together? And what’s their link to the original Nightwing and Flamebird? Well, you know the drill.

ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #12 hits 6/17.

Well, that Pérez dude ain’t bad at all. Hope that Marts dude will come to his senses someday soon and put him on Red Robin instead of that totally mediocre curent dude.
