Writer Peter Milligan teams up with R.E.B.E.L.S. artist Andy Clarke to kick off a new five-part arc in the pages of BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL, with an international twist. When a powerful Russian mobster sets his sights on Gotham City, Batman thinks he’s ready. But this isn’t any ordinary mobster, and he’s bringing backup in the form of…a bear? These unexpected foes might just be able to take control of the Gotham underworld – and then the whole city. Can Batman stop them?

BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL #31 hits on 7/1.

Too good of a team to pass.

I don’t mean to offend anyone who came before, but this is the best art I’ve seen in this title for a while!

Looks great, other than Batman’s face on the cover… what’s up with that…

  4. Gorbunov says on :

Yep, the creative team is top notch. Milligan is not always good but always is interesting.

I’m disappointed that Andy Clarke left R.E.B.E.L.S., but this may actually make me pick up Batman Confidential. I don’t know whether to call DC stupid for this decision, or smart.

  6. Gorbunov says on :

Andy Clarke is on R.E.B.E.L.S. Probably finished this arc long time ago.

  7. superpac says on :

Ah, no! He took a 3 issue hiatus, probably to allow time for Batman Confidential (at least that’s my guess). He left for issues 4-6, but is back as of issue 7. That makes me happy.

Great art, but I’m getting too many Bat titles as it is.
