The Justice League has always been about loyalty, friendship and teamwork. But it’s also about Justice. When Green Lantern challenges his teammates to focus on that aspect of the name in the wake of the death of Martian Manhunter and Batman’s disappearance, he finds himself on the ground floor of a new team’s formation. GL, Green Arrow, Supergirl, Atom, Shazam, Congorilla and Starman unite to take the fight to the villains in the first part of a seven-part mini-series from writer James Robinson and artist Mauro Cascioli. Do you really need more convincing? Probably not. But here are some pages from the first issue anyway.
Also, check back here soon for a look at some of the extra goodies that come with each issue of CRY FOR JUSTICE.

A glorious new rebirth for the Justice League.
Mr. Robinson has stated that approximately half of the Cry for Justice team will comprise the newly forming JLA. My votes: Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Freddy Freeman, and Ray Palmer (far too long under-utilized; he is the Hank Pym of the DCU).
Aquaman should be included as well; he is as vital to the DCU as Barry Allen, Clark Kent, or Bruce Wayne.
Damn you and all this teasing…
This looks to be great.
Hal: “You too?”
Ollie: “Me too what too?”
Oh. Yes.
Hal: I am the law in this space sector and that includes Earth!
Hell yea!
Awesome!!!!!!
There are two great things about this preview. One is the portrayal of Hal as a proactive hero who makes decisions and follows through with them. That’s been missing from the main Green Lantern title, where he sort of just gets pushed and pulled into various directions without ever taking any initiative on his own. Here he is the driving force of his own destiny, he decides where his journey is taking him. It’s an important element of his character - of a man with his level of will power - making it’s absence all the more glaring in the main GL book.
The second is the great relationship between Ollie. I love the bromances of the DCU, Hal/Ollie, Hal/Barry, Ray/Hawkman…and James Robinson really captures it here well. “No, baby, I’m WITH you. You and me. Old times, new times, ALL THE TIME.”
God damn YES!

I like the way this looks so far. My only nitpick is the annoying Kevin Spacey looking Luthor and Meagan Fox looking Poison Ivy on the cover. If they look like that in the interior art it’s gonna pull me right out of the story. Everything else looks nice though.
How many other heroes could get away with looking Superman straight in the eye and saying, “try to stop me?” Awesome.
I have been anticipating this series since I first heard about it. Didn’t think I could be more stoked, but this did it.
And I thought Poison Ivy on the cover looked more like Famke Janssen.
That page with Hal saying “Try to stop me” is epic.
Oh i love the art!
And history… i can not wait to see that!
oh boy!
[...] can expect when he takes over the main Justice League title later this year. Check out the preview here. Existence 2.0 [...]
Oh boy! is right, awesome!!!
