The world’s strangest Super-Heroes are back, and whether you think you know them or not, Giffen and Clark are pouring themselves into this new series, which — as they’ve both stated — is a dream come true. Yeah, this is the book I was waiting for a long time. Giffen + offbeat heroes!
I cant see the images, I think somethings wrong w/ the blog.
[...] DC Universe: The Source released the best preview we’ve seen today: [...]
I love that Mr. Giffen did not ignore the work done by Byrne, although didn’t Grunt have, like, four arms or something weird like that?
You said that the Byrne version where going to be ignored, so why Mr. Giffen bring back Nudge and Grunt ?
this is so frustrainting…Doom Patrol doesn´t have any continuity issues until Byrne and Geoff Johns took the title. Use Arcudi, Pollack, Morrison, Kuppenberg continuity and please, ignore the Byrne version.
Now this…this is what I call promising. Looks great, reads even better. Can’t wait til August 5th.
oh and i see they removed my posting
Haha, Robotman looks real funny wearing shorts; what’s he trying to hide?
Pretty surprised to see that girl and her gorilla from that awful Claremont/Byrne JLA arc.
I’m very excited about this book and it looks like it starts off with a bang. It’s great to know the DP is in good hands with Giffen & Clark.
Other than the reboot aspect, I liked elements of Byrne’s Doom Patrol so I’m glad that Nudge and Grunt are not just being ignored. When the team’s history was restored, that was supposed to include all versions, even the Byrne one.
Even if they don’t stick around, it would be nice to get an in-story reason for their departure. I’m curious if Bumblebee and Vox from Geoff Johns’ version are still with the team too.
[...] PEEK, BATMAN! DCU’s Source blog has given us preview pages for both the upcoming Giffen/Clark Doom Patrol series as well as Peter Milligan’s return to Batman in the pages of Batman Confidential. I’m [...]
Can’t wait for this.
