As promised, there was more going on at the DC booth on Friday beyond breaking Guinness World Records. Yesterday, DC Comics President and Publisher Paul Levitz was honored with a shiny, new -- and upgraded -- Inkpot Award by Comic-Con International in a surprise ceremony. Paul was originally honored with the award in 2002 -- now, that award has gotten a bit of spit and polish. The Inkpot Awards have been presented since 1974, and are given as a sign of recognition to guests of Comic-Con and also from members of Comic-Con's committee and Board of Directors. It was an honor to be present for this, which happened toward the end of the day yesterday amidst the hustle and bustle of a fun, energized show, and we're doubly honored to have the opportunity to congratulate Paul on the award, since we didn't have the chance to when he was originally presented with it. So, an upgraded congrats, Paul. You deserve it.
