Now that you’ve gotten the lowdown on CODENAME: PATRIOT from our very own Matt Idelson, we’ve got a few preview pages from the second installment, written by Greg Rucka with art by artist Julian Lopez (with another installment of Rucka and James Robinson’s CAPTAIN ATOM, featuring art by CAFU).
Part two finds Nightwing and Flamebird in pursuit of the sleeper agents Nadira and Az-Rel. But our heroes run into another deadly duo — Reactron and Metallo. How does this all tie into General Lane’s plans? And what happens when Superman and Supergirl reach Earth looking for the shooter?
ACTION COMICS #880 hits 8/12.

This looks really, really cool, heh.
Question: why is ‘Ral-Dar’ apparently faster to reach Earth then Superman and Supergirl? Is it because just like Supergirl upon her debut Ral-Dar also now has yet to learn restraint come his new found abilities? :/
Restraint? I mean why does it took Clark so much time to develop his powers but every new kryptonian that appears already master them? Is it I missed something about clark abilities?
i like schenes of superman, supergirl and mon-el rescue the US pilots.

[...] before the next bit of the story can be in their greedy little hands. Or so they thought! Thanks to DC Universe: The Source, we have a preview of Action Comics 880, where Greg Rucka and Julian Lopez bring us part two of [...]
I like the way Ral-Dar is drawn here better than in New World of Krypton. Also, I’ve grown to really like Mon-el in these pages over the last few months. I almost wish he could be the back-up story when Superman comes back to these pages to reclaim Action Comics.

After WONK and C:P run is done - can we get back to 1-issue stories? As much as I love this storyline, it’s exhausting. It will be nice to just pick up the book and read one really good start that has a beginning and an end…here’s hoping.
Just picked this up, haven’t had a chance to read it yet. The preview looks great, thanks DC.
