   The design certainly looks a little better under Garbett’s pencils, but this cover is way, way better than the last one, that’s for sure.

   I’m in love with this series already.

   I didn’t really like the new costume at first, but it’s starting to grow on me. I still don’t like the leg pouches though.

   It’s okay. I prefer the classic look. To me, the key to this design is for the highlights to be gray, not blue or purple. Anything by gray clashes with the violet side-panels.

   This cover actually looks good and the costume looks ok here. I agree with the leg belt-just don’t see it being functional

   However, this drawing of the costume looks MUCH better than the first reveal of it. Much more fluid and not as boxy. Overall, I like it quite a bit.

    There is a post below that has a cover showing the old Barbra Gordon Batgirl outfit on the cover…but inside we get a completely different outfit? Is there more going on here that meets the eye? Is Spoiler going to suit up in the original outfit down the line? Or is Babs going to get out of the chair & take the costume back herself? As we saw in Batman Blackest Night 2 she can still get around…kind of & wasn’t there something in the Final Crisis “The Cure” out her getting feeling back in her legs??? Maybe I’m just seeing more to it than there actually is…I’m a fan of the old Babs outfit, so maybe it’s just wishfull thinking…

    pookdogg, that’s more keeping the mystery in who the new identity of Batgirl would be/having Steph try on the different Batgirl costumes before making her own.

    I kind of wish they’d done one with Bette Kane’s Bat-Girl costume, even if that’s out of continuity now.

    where’s cassandra cain…? is this going to be like that old earth2 robin and robin thing? cause despite like both outfits, i found having two robins quite annoying, and frankly two batgirls would be worse…

    also is bette kane not doing the flamebird thing any more on account of the new nightwing and flamebird… if so is she actually just not doing the vigilante thing at all anymore?

    I think the Bette Kane bit will be talked about in Detective. I hope she’s still doing the vigilante bit, though. I love Bette.

    And I actually like the thigh-belt. It’s a call-back to her Spoiler costume - a piece of her identity. She’s putting her own spin on Batgirl, as it were.

    I like the costume and I’m glad they kept some purple in her costume. I dont know if I want two batgirls though I’m fine with the multiple Green Lanterns and the three Flashes, and I definitely wouldn’t mind two Batmen. Dick Grayson has graduated. He has earned this. He shouldn’t have to go back to being Nightwing when Bruce returns.
