Not the final one, mind you. But, since this here blog is all about sneak peeks and giving you a look behind the curtain of the DCU, here’s a look at artist Freddie E. Williams II’s cover to JSA ALL-STARS #2, which finds Williams teaming with writer Matt Sturges to chronicle the adventures of the JUSTICE SOCIETY’s more rebellious youths. We’ll hold off on showing the final cover, but hopefully this’ll tide you over until we can reveal more.

I HOPE this is not final. Sorry, but a few proportions look very wrong to me. When did Steel become the Hulk? And what steroids are Damage pumping? Or is that Atom Smasher in disguise? He looks way too big, considering Power Girl is clearly flying full-figure in front of him.
After a second look, I have to agree with gojira95 - those two characters are drawn different in JSA than what they look like here - someone needs to get out the erasure.
Harsh critiques. I like the cover. Freddie Williams is a favorite artist of mine. I’ll buy anything he works on. In my mind this is really the B list of the JSA but after seeing how cool Matt Sturges made Run! I’m sure he’ll knock this one out of the park.
It looks great but there is indeed a proportion problem. Damage would have to be around 10 feet tall in that pic… put him in front of PW or shrink him a bit solves it easily enough.
OH! don’t get me wrong…I love the way Freddie draws Robin, Red Robin, & Hourman…he’s in my Top-5 for drawing those three characters. But, I’m just saying that the proportion is wrong here - it does appear as if a couple of the guys are on roids. I agree with moving a couple of the guys in front of PG - but that would block the view of her “assests”.
