A few things about this issue: Readers will meet the greatest threat to face the Flash family in decades. A new hero will step into an old speedster’s boots. Barry Allen makes the ultimate sacrifice. Yep. You read that correctly. Courtesy of superstar writer Geoff Johns and artist Ethan Van Sciver. You’ve heard it said before, but this issue doesn’t dance around it — nothing will be the same.
FLASH: REBIRTH #5 hits 11/18.

Van Sciver’s art in this series is Fan-Freakin-Tastic!
I love the way the lightning symbols are jumping right off their costume.
That variant cover is HOT!
…er, um I mean on fire.
Max looks …really good.

about time
wew! at last it come out… can’t wait to have it.
This issue was worth the wait, Ethan Van Sciver’s art is impressive
I can’t wait to get it!
I love the cover! The homage to Flash 123 is a wonderful tribute to that iconic cover. I especially like the added touch of the man crushed beneath the steel girder. This storyline has been a treat for fans of the Flash family. It looks like it’s getting even better!
Still don’t think Van Sciver’s artwork conveys the motion well enough, but I do like his work and I have been waiting for this book - after all, it stars my favorite superhero (Wally West) and, thankfully, Barry appears to be done with his mope-fest. Next issue (6) is gonna have the coolest damn Reverse-Flash/Flash fight ever! Cannot wait!
