Yesterday, we showed some pages from the Batwoman feature in DETECTIVE COMICS #859 — but let’s not forget about The Question second feature, from Greg Rucka and artist Cully Hamner. The case may be closed closed, but Renee won’t stop until she has the answers! When a new lead points to the Sicilian mafia, The Question turns to an expert for assistance. But can she trust the Huntress to be professional when family rears its ugly head?

DETECTIVE COMICS #859 hits 11/25.

can we please get more Montoya. I think she’s wasted in these 8 pages. I still can’t warm to Cully Hamners redesign either

The art’s fine; it’s the coloring that could use some help if you ask me. More Question would be terrific, though!

I believe Dave McCaig is still the colorist on this. The colors fit exactly what the art and story seem to be going for. McCaig is easily one of the best colorists in the business and is capable of making the line art really come alive by using several different approaches. The work he did with Pasqual Ferry on Adam Strange is still probably the most amazing stuff I’ve seen from a colorist.

Could swear I’ve seen a couple different colorists listed on this. Anyway the colors themselves are fine, but I think a lot of complaints about the art would die down if the mask were shaded differently. Really the only complaint I have.
