The traitor stands revealed, and his part in the destruction of the Justice Society of America is complete. While the team’s headquarters lies in ruin, the same fate has befallen the team itself! Hold on to your seats, because the JSA as we’ve known it is in pieces. Can you handle it? Courtesy of Willingham, Sturges and Merino.

The end of the JSA?! …say it ain’t so.
I like this story-line, even though it is a springboard for the All-Star team to form.
I still hope that the Kid is under mind control, because I like him. But, he’s not shown on the cover with the others…so, makes you wonder.
I just read the Feb 2010 - synopsis of issue #3 of JSA ALL-STARS and it will have a co-feature/back-up story with Hourman! WOOT!! He’s my favorite, I’ll gladly fork over the $3.99 for me some Hourman story & art.
This looks a little better than some of the previous issues, which have been astoundingly boring I thought.
Called it that the kid is, in fact, Kid Karnevil. Me and just about everyone else, I suspect.
Still, I’m looking forward to getting a couple of smaller teams out of this. I like the characters in Willingham’s title more, but I prefer Sturges as a writer. Wait and see I guess.
I’m with Iron Man.

I didn’t even think about that, he does look like kid Karnevil. I hope it’s him, he was funny in Salvation Run.
Willingham has a habit for using his pet characters, and he’s been doing the Kid Karnevil thing for as long as I’ve been following him (Shadowpact), so I think it’s a good bet.
ok lets say it is kid karnevil right? then explain the mid control we saw in the first part of the story where he stabbed mr. terrific?
Maybe he was acting for the cameras, as he’s been doing the whole story?.
