I just got my issue in hand and I TRIED reading. I love the JSA new formation, the tension was great. The dialog of this issue is well written, there's the right amount of action and character development but... Williams art is aggravating. Awful, messy, ugly. I stopped reading Robin when he started penciling, I stopped reading Flash when he started working on it (maybe I'm going to give it a try again) and I'm I won't be following JSA All Stars.

Looks good. I'll give the book a shot.

And it looks like they replaced all mention of "cyborgs" with the more appropriate term "androids". Good editing!

Just for fun...if you like YouTube parody videos - do a search under: Power Girl or Hourman...there are some really really good ones out there.

I don't think that Generational aspect is going to be lost on either book. In JSA proper you've still got Lightning and the new Dr. Fate.

In this book you've got experienced heroes like Hourman and Power Girl, plus characters somewhere in between like Magog and Stargirl.

You'll still get a bit of that in both, it's just that this book is going to be more focused on the 'training' aspect of the JSA's function, where as I expect the other will be more standard superheroics.

I have a feeling I'm going to really like this book. I was on the fence at first, but when I found out the co-feature back-up was Hourman...I was sold. He's one of my favorite.

As far as the JSA book. There is just something about the "old-guard" character that is nostalgic...I love the original Flash, Green Lantern, Wildcat and Mr. Terrific - they are just fun. As far as these new whippersnappers (HaHa...I said "whippersnappers" and I'm not even 50-years old)...they are going to really have to prove themselves.

Was better with Alex Ross and Dale Eaglesham doing art on these characters. I'll give it a go. I mean to buy one you have to buy the other for the moment

Pretty interesting that the whole mission statement of this new JSA series was to have the older generation mentor the younger generation and now the two groups have been separated.
