Welcome (Back) to Happy Harbor

Tonight you can check out part one of the Young Justice pilot. If you’re a regular reader of THE SOURCE, you’ve already seen my recommendation of the series’ pilot. If you missed it, check it out. If you loved it, check it out again.
We got our hands on this exclusive shot from episode 3 “Welcome To Happy Harbor” airing on 1/21.
Yeah, that’s Miss Martian piloting her martian bio-ship. What’s not to love?
How’s about a few Nicola Scott Titans pencils?

DCU in 2011: Superboy and Supergirl are going to have their hands full…
Friday, January 7th, 2011
…with a lot more Doomsday than they bargained for.
As announced earlier this week, the Reign of Doomsday story will continue through SUPERMAN/BATMAN ANNUAL #5, as Supergirl must team up with Batman to try to stop Doomsday and Cyborg Superman from tearing them apart. The issue will hit in early April, written by James Robinson with art by Miguel Sepulveda.
Later that month, the Reign of Doomsday story will pick up where that issue leaves off in SUPERBOY #6, by Jeff Lemire and Pier Gallo. Conner’s battle with Doomsday builds toward an epic sixth chapter… which we’re not spilling any clues on just yet.
Check out the covers below!
Take a sneak peek at next week’s WONDER GIRL
Friday, January 7th, 2011
Cassie Sandsmark has mother issues. Her relationship with her father isn’t on much better terms – she’s the daughter of Zeus, yet she’s done her best to steer clear of his influences. Even on a weekend getaway from the Titans Tower to visit her mother at an archeological conference, Wonder Girl can’t seem to avoid a conflict – whether it’s with her parents, or a supervillain.
This WONDER GIRL one-shot by JT Krul and Adriana Melo features the first big role for new Titans hero Solstice and ties into the new arc of TEEN TITANS. The comic hits stores next Wednesday.
Bat-Mite Presents: Batman’s Strangest Cases!
Thursday, January 6th, 2011
By David Hyde
Emmy award winning writer Paul Dini has penned an episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD that should certainly appeal to SOURCE readers when the show returns with new episodes in a few weeks. It’s called “Bat-Mite Presents: Batman’s Strangest Cases!” and fans of the series have been salivating for it since details first emerged.
So, OK, Paul Dini’s writing it and Bat-Mite returns to host a series of Batman’s most bizarre adventure. You’re already excited, right?
Well, check out this image of the Mad Magazine-inspired Batboy and Rubin.
Still not convinced?
How about an adventure of the Batman of Japan?
Can I watch this episode now? And can I watch it with Grant Morrison? I mean how amazing would that be? (Sometimes you have to ask for what you want…)
DCU in 2011: Exclusive Batman: Arkham City concept art
Thursday, January 6th, 2011
Batman: Arkham City video game concept art? Yes, please.
The kind folks over at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment sent us this exclusive piece of concept art as a sneak peak at the sequel to the award-winning Batman: Arkham Asylum. Like myself, I’m sure more than one of you are eagerly counting down the months until the game hits stores this fall.
This may just be me, but that art looks a lot like a scene we see towards the end of the game’s trailer…
Speaking of which: If you haven’t seen the (awesome) new trailer yet, head over to the Batman: Arkham City website and check it out. While there you can fan the game on Facebook to get updates and sneak peeks straight from the people behind the game.
Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne form The Dysfunctional Duo in BATGIRL #17
Thursday, January 6th, 2011
Stephanie Brown’s taken on her first official Batman Incorporated assignment, and it’s a doozy. Making matters worse, the, er – less than cooperative – Damian Wayne has decided that the case is his jurisdiction. Can they manage to stop fighting long enough to crack a kidnapping case?
Reading the preview below is sort of like watching two speeding freight trains on a collision course, no?
BATGIRL #17 is written by Bryan Q. Miller with art by Pere Perez and hits stores next Wednesday.
